CONTRACT
BETWEEN THE HUNTER RESEARCH GROUP
AND
ANTHONY MORENZI, AIDE TO STATE ASSEMBLYMAN PETER
GRANNIS
1. State Assemblyman Peter Grannis of the 65th
Assembly District has requested the Hunter Graduate Research Group to study the
potential economic impact on existing transportation services if the proposed
commuter ferry service linking the Upper East Side and the Wall Street piers is
implemented.
2. In
order to research this matter, the Hunter Graduate Research Group agrees to:

Conduct a thorough assessment of the effectiveness
of the various transportation services currently serving the Upper East
Side.
·
Survey stakeholder satisfaction with existing
transportation services.
·
Survey stakeholder opinion on the proposed ferry
service.
·
Elicit stakeholder input on salient issues such as
accessibility of transportation, transportation costs and travel time, as it
pertains to the current services and the proposed ferry service.
·
Determine the impact a ferry service may have on
existing Upper East Side transportation services.
·
Present a final written and oral report detailing
its findings.
3.
Anthony Morenzi agrees to:
·
Meet with the research group as necessary in order
to ensure the project’s success.
·
Provide access to research material such as relevant
Community Board 8 and East River Work Group records and local demographic
information.
·
Coordinate the Hunter Graduate Research Groups
presentation of their findings at an East River Ferry Work Group meeting.
4. The
preceding contract has been reviewed by the following parties and becomes
binding when signed.
