"What I wouldn't give for a soulmate." - Alanis Morissette (All I Really want)

Frankham's Hot Twenty

andie, doing his usual year 2G thing
01) WHAT IS YOUR IDEA OF PERFECT HAPPINESS?
Once upon I had an answer to that question, but then real life interfered. I do not believe such a thing can exist, but we just have to make the best of what we have. Wherever your heart is, there your joy will be.

02) WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST FEAR?
People believing lies told about me. Cause the damage that can cause tends to last for a bloody long long time, sometimes it just doesn't go away.

03) WHICH LIVING PERSON DO YOU MOST ADMIRE?
I do not admire one person totally, because there is always good and bad in people. But I do admire certain things in different people. Take Mark for example, I just admire him because he has stood by me, and he is always honest with me. The same is true, in some respects, of McG. Although it changes the board somewhat since I only know him through the internet. And yet despite that he has shown an amazing amount of loyalty to me. I admire loyalty in a person, honesty.

04) WHAT IS THE TRAIT YOU MOST DEPLORE IN YOURSELF?
That is too easy, since there is a trait in me that people tend to notice all the time. I have become a somewhat candid person, and it comes across as very arrogant. I hate to have people thinking that of me. And one more, since we are being really honest here. Bitterness and anger, I have a lot of that within, and it is directed a lot at God. Because he allows so much crap to go on in this world, and does nothing about it.

05) WHAT IS THE TRAIT YOU MOST DEPLORE IN OTHERS?
The better-than-you attitude. Makes me angry when people look down on others as a matter of course. Since nobody is on a pedestal so high that they can't be reached. Equality is of major import in life.

06) WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST EXTRAVAGANCE?
Not sure I have one. I reckon others might say my little book and CD library, but I wouldn't. I'll have to get back to that one in twenty years.

07) WHAT MAKES YOU DEPRESSED?
Who was it that said, "I loathe bus stations. Terrible places, full of lost luggage and lost souls..."? I would say that is true of the job centers in the UK. Very depressing places.

08) WHAT IS YOUR MOST UNAPPEALING HABIT?
My sarcasm. I'm a nice guy, but hell, can I be sarcastic?!

09) HAVE YOU EVER SAID "I LOVE YOU" AND NOT MEANT IT?
No. The only possible occasion is when I have had a row with my Mother, but even then, in my heart, I still mean it.

10) WHICH WORDS OR PHRASES DO YOU OVER USE?
"Aye". That great Scottish yes... I love the Scots, I should have been born a Scot. Shit, I am a Welshscotsman from now on. Aye. *nods*

11) WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST REGRET?
Not taking my writing serious when I first decided I wanted to become a writer. I could be so much further now if I had. Still, we live and learn, and that is the whole point. Oh yeah, and since I am being truthful I have to say this too (apologies to all my mates who may be offended by this): I have always wanted to be seduced by a woman The experience of that would have been so cool. Still, there is always the future.

12) WHAT IS YOUR MOST PIVOTAL YEAR, AND WHY?
1987, it has to be. Either that or last year, 1999. Many long term events happened in 1987; I got heavily into "Doctor Who" that year, and "Star Trek", and music, and... you get the idea. It was also the year when I first knew that I wanted to be a writer. As for 1999, it was the year of real maturity for me. I learned just how deep this passion for writing goes (it goes down to the core of my soul, by the way!). And also in the way I look at the world... it has certainly turned me into a better person.

13) HOW DO YOU RELAX?
Reading and listening to music, laying there in a lose shirt, t-shirt, ripped jeans, and my hair a mess. Great fun. Writing also relaxes me, as does being online and chatting to people. Although going into chat rooms just isn't relaxing these days. But best of all, walking through London at night when it is pissing it down.

14) WHAT WOULD YOUR MOTTO BE?
"Our invisible individuality is what defines us as people." I got it from the book "Memnoch The Devil" - not the quote, but certainly the essence of it.

15) WHAT KEEPS YOU AWAKE AT NIGHT?
Ideas. When I am working on a book I can't sleep if the ideas are rolling about in my head.

16) HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO DIE?
Standing tall, and not on my knees. (thanks to SarahLee for that)

17) DO YOU BELIEVE IN LIFE AFTER DEATH?
After six years living the Christian life, I think so. But I don't think anybody will know what heaven is like until they get there. No amount of books or Bibles can tell you that.

18) HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE REMEMBERED?
As a man who cared about the individual. More likely to be remembered as an arrogant little shit, though. *LOL*

19) WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT LESSON LIFE HAS TAUGHT YOU SO FAR?
Be careful of who you trust. Sometimes you can only trust yourself. But then more often than not you need to trust others, and there lies the possibility of betrayal... always be ready to forgive.

20) LASTLY, DESCRIBE YOURSELF...
I am an easy guy to get along with, and I just love helping the ladies. I have become a bit of a ladies man, in a way. I have a very dark side to my nature, and can be really nasty when pushed into a corner. I seem to have a lot of bile directed at Christians these days, because they just cannot see past there own little Biblical world. I will say this: give me a try, you may find me more friendly than you imagine...

...and there you have it, the truth about me. hope i haven't scared too many people off, but i believe you need to know what you are letting yourself in for....
