Moses BROADESS was born in Dorchester Co. Maryland 21 June 1794, the son of Thomas BROADESS and Elizabeth BESTPITCH. Thomas BROADESS and Elizabeth BESTPITCH moved to Baldwin County, Georgia before 1810, Balwin Co. fell into Jasper Co. in 1812 when Jasper Co. was formed. Elizabeth MARCAS, a daughter of William E. MARCUS of Putman Co. Georgia, married Moses BROADESS, son of Elizabeth and Thomas BROADESS, of Jasper Co. Georgia, in Putnam Co., Georgia, 23 December 1816. Moses BROADUS and Elizabeth MARCUS Broadus migrated to Mobile, Alabama, then on to Jackson County Mississippi.
