Hello and welcome to my first attempt at making a web page. Thank you for your interest in my site and in me.

I hope you will take a moment to sit down with me, so I can tell you a little about my site and a few things I hope you will find interesting.

Believe it or not, the title of my page, "The Shadowzone", has absoloutly nothing to do with "The Twilight Zone", sci-fi, astronomy, or anything else you might think. "Then, what does it have to do with?" you ask.
A cat.

There is a little story that goes with this. I hope you will be patient while I tell it to you.

Shortly after me and my wife got together, we were living in an apartment complex in Austin. One day my wife found a cat, in the laundry room, that had just had a litter of kittens. It was March and still pretty cold outside and one kitten had already died.

I told my wife if she wanted to take them in, we had to find homes for all of them. I didn't want a cat. I've had dogs as pets, my whole life and knew nothing about cats. I am also alergic to about half the cats I come into contact with, so needless to say, I was not thrilled with the idea of owning any.

Well, I didn't want to leave them out in the cold, so we brought them home and started looking for homes, for the three remaining kittens. We Found homes for all but two of them.
One of them was Shadow.
He was avery cool cat.

Now I don't just say that because I liked him, that's exactly how he acted. I'm sure if you had asked him and you could understand his reply, he would have told you the same thing himself.

Unlike our other cat, he only let you pet him when he wanted it. You could just tell he thought he was king of the house. And I'm not sure he wasn't right.

You may think it weird to dedicate a page to a cat, but we had him for 7years and he became one of the family.

I have always been a big animal lover and have always been hit hard when one died. So this is my way to repay some of the good times he brought.

I decided to make this site because I love anything to do with science fiction,space exploration, astronomy, Star Trek, etc. It is a passion for me.

I got started with this at an early age. I remember sitting at home on Saturday afternoons, watching re-runs of the old StarTrek series. I guess that's where my love of space started.
That is, I guess, what this site is all about.

If you allready have that passion, I hope that you will find some interesting info and maybe a little entertainment.
What I really hope though, is that thru these pages someone else will find the thing that ignites their love of space.
It really is the final frontier.
