That chilly April night in 1986 when the Giants destroyed the Dodgers by scoring 10 runs in the first inning. The night started off by seeing Steve Sax take infield practice and overthrowing the first baseman several times. That was the night I saw the Orange andBlack light!

GVL signing date:1998 Season
I've been a huge Giants fan since I was 5 and joined the Orange Crush Little Giants Club which I was a member for 5 years. That was tough times for the Giants and usually a great season was if we could be spoilers. The 1982 season was one of my favorite season when we almost won the division and knocked the Dodgers out of it.

Favorite Giants Player:Terry Kennedy
Favorite Giant/Baseball memories:
Not my favorite, but most memorable: 1989, World Series at the 'stick, in LR Section 1, and the place rumbles and starts rockin'. The hubby and I were with another couple, the crowd cheered and I was terrified. No one realized how serious it was -- they were still buying beers and hot dogs and waiting for the game to commence. A few folks with portable TV's started spreading the word about the destruction. We finally decided to go to the car "in case the game was called". On the way out of the lot, we could see all over SF, everything was dark, and the smoke was visible from the Marina. I didn't go to the game when it was finally played. I let my brother have the ticket.

Again a toss-up. Brian Johnson's homer in the 12th inning against the Dodgers last year or Will Clark's 2-run single against Mitch Williams of the Cubs in Game 5 of the NLCS in 1989

I am a consummate baseball fan. I believe there is more drama in baseball than in any other sport because one split second second swing of the bat can alter the outcome of a game. In addition to the two moments in Giants' history I listed above, let me add: Bill Maseroski's homer against Ralph Terry of the Yankees in Game 7 of the 1960 World Series, Carlton Fisk's homer in Game 6 of the 1975 World Series that sent it back to Cincinnati, Chris Chamblis' homer in the bottom of the ninth inning of Game 5 of the ALCS in 1976, Bucky Dent's homer against the Red Sox in the special playoff game between New York and Boston in 1978, Kirk Gibson's homer against Dennis Eckersley in Game 1 of the 1988 World Series and Joe Carter's home run off Mitch Williams (he figures prominently here, doesn't he) to win the 1993 World Series.
