Years ago I was sitting at my easel painting. Suddenly the room filled with light. I thought the sun must have come out from behind the clouds, but instead I felt propelled into another reality. My great-grandmother, who had died 15 years prior, was standing behind me bathed in light. She smiled slightly and nodded as if to say "looks like all is well" and disappeared. I believe she was just checking up on me.
