when you were nothing but smiles
a warm friendly face,
one who totally understood me...
but I took off my glasses;
I wiped them off,
and off came the gloss they were smothered in
now I see you for who you are;
anything but smiles
is what I see in your eyes;
a dark side that you try to hide;
one who can't understand all of me
you don't have the halo over your head anymore
now you wear it as a keychain
your moodiness far surpasses mine
