A CHRISTMAS WISH

Bright decorative lights
Of red, yellow and blue
Are delightfully twinkling
Merry Christmas to you!
It's a time we remember
Our friends near and far,
With the gifts we have piled
In the back of the car.
Christmas stockings hung
By children with great joy
With excited anticipation
Of Santa and new toys
Candy canes, ornaments,
And tinsel hung on trees
Mistletoe, egg nog,
And carols sung off key
Sometimes we get caught up
In the things the season brings
And forget that on this day of days
Was born the King of
Kings
Let us never forget,
Nor let out heats go astray
From the love of the man
That was born on this day
Remember the shepherds
Who traveled so far.
The faith of the wise men,
The Bethlehem star.
The heavenly angels
Whose voices did sing,
In sweet declaration
Of our Savior and King.
Remember this season
Filled with holiday cheer,
To keep Christ in Christmas
And all through the year
