Eyes of the Beholder

by: Gloria Dianne
When I look into the mirror,
  What do I see?

    A peaches and cream
  Reflection of me!

    No trace of a wrinkle,
  Or frown line and such,
    A youthful complection
That looks soft to the touch.

No crows feet, or laugh lines,
  And only one chin!
    No telltale age spots
  Covering my skin.

When I look at my hair
I see no hint of gray.

Now

I'll definitely throw

My glasses away!

OH PROMISE ME
by:Gloria Dianne

If the day should ever come
That I've become a burden to you,
Please remember I don't want to be,
And there's something I need you to do.

I want to be remembered
Just the way I am.
Not as some elderly someone
That you just don't understand.

So please, my dear loved ones,
This is a promise I need you to keep!
Promise me when that day comes,

You'll take me to the vet and put to me sleep!
