Memorial at Beverley Minster, Beverely, Humberside - "To the memory of Lancelot Machell Lieut. in the Royal Engineers, 3rd son of Christopher and Ann Machel. He was killed in the trenches at st. Sebastian in Spain after the unsuccessful attack upon that place 25th July 1813 in the 21st year of his age."

Captain David McIntyre - 91st Foot - killed at Nivelle - 10th November 1813.

Captain James McIntyre - 71st Foot - wounded at Fuentes de Onoro, 3rd May 1811- died 27th January 1814 at Lisbon.

Lieut. George Mackenzie - 36th Foot - killed at siege of the Forts at Salamanca - 18-24th June 1811.

Lieut-Colonel John Mackenzie - 5th Foot - wounded at Palavia Abaxo, 15th January 1809 - died of wounds.

Major-General John Randoll McKenzie - 78th Foot - killed at Talavera - 28th July 1809.

Captain Maxwell Mackenzie - 71st Foot - killed at the Nive - 13th December 1813.

Captain Murdoch Mackenzie - 20th Foot - killed in the Pyrenees - 28th July 1813.

Lieut-Colonel Henry Mackinnon - Coldstream Guards - killed in the storming of Ciuadad Rodrigo - 19th January 1812. He was buried at Espaja.

Lieut. William Henry Mackintosh - 4th Foot - killed at Busaco - 27th September 1810.

Lieut. Allen McClean - 91st Foot - wounded in the Pyrenees, 28th July 1813 - died 24th December.

Lieut-Colonel Charles Macleod - 43rd Foot - killed storming Badajoz - 6th April 1812.
Son of Lieutenant-General Sir John Macleod (Royal Horse Artillery). Commissioned 1799, was ADC to Cornwallis in India (1805). Killed leading the assault on the breech at Badajoz. "He was buried near the regiment's camp, all the mourners overcome with grief, and even the privates who carried his coffin were in tears...... Perhaps the most telling remark by one of his men, Sergeant Thomas Blood - 'There was not a man in that corps (the 43rd) but would have stood between him and that fatal ball that struck him dead, so esteemed was he by all.'"

Lieut. Roderick Macleod - 38th Foot - wounded at the siege of St. Sebastian, July 1813 - died 25th July.

His right arm was amputated.

Lieut. Donald McPherson - 95th Foot - wounded storming Badajoz, 6th April 1812 - died 7th May 1812 at Elvas.

Lieut. John McPherson - 38th Foot - wounded in the capture of Burgos castle, 4th October 1812 - died of wounds 1st January 1814 at Cambo.

Captain William S. Madden - 52nd Foot - killed storming Badajoz - 6th April 1812.

Lieut. Luke Mahon - 3rd Foot Guards - wounded at Bayonne, 14th April 1814 - died 6th May
Grave at Bayonne - "Capt. Mahon, 3 Guards, who died of wounds received in action before Bayonne 14 April 1814." Added later - "Beneath this stone lies the body of Captain Luke Mahon, 3rd Regiment of Foot Guards who died of wounds received before Bayonne 14 April 1814. This stone was placed to his memory and the footstone restored, by the only surviving sister of his brother officer, Capt. Holbourne, AD 1876."

Lieut-Colonel Sir William James Myers - 7th Foot - wounded at Albuhera, 16th May 1811 - died next day. Aged 27. Born 27th Nov. 1783, son of Lieut-General Sir William Myers.
Memorial in St. Mary's church, Cheltenham -
"Sacred to the memory of Lieutenant-General Sir William Myers, bart, who died in the year 1803 aged 55 when in command of the British Forces in the West Indies. His afflicted family found their only consolation for his loss in the opening virtues of his son Lieutenant-Colonel Sir William Myers, Baronet, but of him also it pleased the Almighty to deprive them, on the 16th May 1811 he fell leading on the British Fusileer Brigade at the battle of Albuera in the 27th year of his age, and with him expired the last hope of his family. This monument is erected by a mother whom death has bereft of all earthly consolation."
