If you're here, you probably want to know about me. I'm going to answer a few of the questions that I get most often. If you have one that isn't here, by all means, e-mail me and ask it.
How'd you get the name Cathina?
I got the name Cathina from my father. The actual reasons as to why I
got the name vary from time to time. The original reason was that he knew I was
going to be smart, so he named me after the Greek goddess of wisdom, Athena.
The other, more logical reason, was that he named me after my mother, Kathy. My
dad was a Sr, my brother a Jr, so it stood to reason that my mother would be
Kathy, and me, Cathina. Make sense?
How about your middle name, Noel?
I was supposed to have been a Christmas baby (born about the middle of December),
but because of complications, I was born in the middle of November instead. I
was a Thanksgiving baby, but my parents didn't like "Cathina Turkey-leg Johnson,"
so they kept it Noel. *note: had I been a boy, I would've been Todd Allen
Johnson.
What do you look like?
The picture of me
is a little outdated, but I look pretty much like that. It was taken about
late June, early July, but since then I had my hair cut off (above collar
length) and it's light brownish-red, my natural hair color. Other than that, I've
changed little. Oh, yeah, and my hair is straight now. And yes, it is a big
picture.
Why aren't you in college?
I'm not in college because I don't want to be. Well, that, and a couple
of other reasons. I don't have the money or the desire to attend college
right now, my financial aid is all messed up, plus I'm working through a lot
of emotional problems that make it pretty hard to do anything, much less go
to college.
What kind of emotional problems?
I'm a bi-polar depressive (major mood swings from high to low, the highs
being extraordinarily high and the lows being terribly low), and I'm also in
therapy to deal with childhood sexual abuse. To read my story, visit my my survivors area.
Why aren't you working?
Because until I get stabalized on my medication, it's near impossible to
even get out of bed some mornings, much less work.
Where do you live?
I live in Kanas City, Kansas with my parents and my best friend, Beverly.
At this point in time, I have no plans to leave the Midwest, or Kansas, for
that matter.
What kind of music do you listen to?
I listen to all kinds. On the radio, I listen to Mix 93.3, a popular
rock/alternative/dance station. Some of my favorite artists are Meredith
Brooks, Spice Girls, Garth Brooks, Patsy Cline, Air Supply, the Carpenters,
Clint Black, and various other artists that I don't have the inclination
to name.
Anything else you want to say?
How kind of you to ask! There's not really anything else to say, other than
the fact that you could know everything about me and still not know me.
I'm a mass of contradictions, and even those who spend a lot of time around me
find it's no good trying to second guess me. So in other words, all this info,
what I just spent all this time telling you and you spent all this time reading,
is useless.
