One Love Once in a lifetime, a special love Knocks on someone's door. Tonight it knocked on mine. A love so pure and sweet and true, A pleasant find. My love knocked once, and once again, Then knocked just one more time. I could not answer it's knock. A force from deep inside of me Would know open my heart's lock. My once in a lifetime special love Went away from me. My love's head was hung down in misery. Because my heart would not answer it's call, Both of our hearts are held in captivity. *********************************************************************** Fairy Princess The fairy princess sings to you. Her lady in waiting sings to me. The difference, oh-so-subtle, is As anyone can see. For you are favored by the fairy princess. The lady in waiting favors me. The daffodils and tulips sway your way. I am merely greeted by the clover. The insects on the road come out when you go by. When they see me, they run for cover. For the fairy princess sings to you, And the fairy princess passes me over. The winds of change blow to your door. They only blow past mine. I am a lesser, and I know it. The world has always favored your kind. The winds of change ask where you're going and follow. I'm lucky to see where you are going and follow behind. For the fairy princess sings to you, And the lady in waiting sings to me.
Give Me Fantasy If this is life, give me fantasy. Wars are raging across the land. A starving child hold out his hand. If this is life, give me fantasy. If this is life, give me fantasy. Another man is shot, and dies. Everyone's a victim of society. If this is life, give me fantasy. If this is life, give me fantasy. The world's esteem has fallen low. The "American Ego" is monstrous, so, If this is life, give me fantasy. A fairy princess flies off to bed. A superhero's esteem is fed By world leaders who turn their heads. Is reality truly all that bad? If this fantasy, give me reality. *********************************************************************** In the Heart of a Rose In the heart of a rose, You will see my pain, My joys, my tears, my sorrows. It's all there, In the heart of a rose. In the heart of a rose, You will see my identity, The who's, the what's, the wherefore's. It's all there, In the heart of a rose. In the heart of a rose, You will see my heart, My love, my adoration, my exaltation. It's all there, In the heart of a rose.
Pain Once again, I'll say I'm sorry For a thing I didn't do Because it's easier to accept the fault Than to get what I'm getting from you. You're giving me a feeling Like none I've felt before; A feeling of loss and guilt and pain That's gnawing at my very core. Just to shrug it off, To forget it is what I want. But to do so would mean the worst- To forget you or what happened; I can't. So why don't you take half the blame. I'll shoulder the rest. For to carry on with our life together Would perhaps be for the best. *********************************************************************** Golden Memories In everybody's life there is a precious golden door. Behind it you hear a single cry, a cry and nothing more. That cry releases all your fear, your pain and passion too. That golden moment passes by and leaves but just one clue. It leaves a precious golden key that fits in a golden lock. You can recall your memories without a single knock. You lock up all your memories behind that golden door. Behind it you hear a single cry, a cry and nothing more.
