Presently doing Post Doctoral Study in "Canal Seepage Estimation for Water Logging Applications/Solutions" under the All India Council for Technical Educations, New Delhi, Career Award for young teachers scheme. Intoduction of my present work is here.

If you are also alumini of any of these institutes, you would be interested here

1. BITS, Pilani, Alumni
2. Univeristy of Roorkee, Roorkee, Alumini
3. M.R.E.C., Jaipur, Alumini.

My Interests

  1. Ground water modeling, I have developed many useful programs for analytical solutions of seepage from canals under different boundary conditions. One such programs is available here : seep.zip. My Ph.D. topic : "Seepage from Canals Founded on Finite Pervious Soil with Asymmetric Drainages" (Abstract and references).
  2. Remote Sensing Applications in Water Resources. My project at IIRS (Indian Institute of Remote Sensing), Dehradun was on "Remote Sensing and GIS Applications in Watershed Studies" (Abstract would be available soon...). Would you like a tutorial on ARC/INFO, try this. Or if you have a question about GIS, try FAQ - GIS and General Info List.
  3. Computer Programming in C/C++ languages. A schedule program for DOS, which I believe is much better than heavy duty memory resident programs, is available here : Schedule.zip. And its source code is here : sch_code.zip. Visual C++ Resources
  4. I am the member of Rambagh Golf club of Jaipur. There are other links to golf courses and James golf page.
  5. My choice of links.

Some useful Ground Water Modeling Links :

  1. Seepage/Groundwater Modeling Software Home Page (ASCE). This site has a list of very useful groundwater modeling related resources.
  2. USGS Groundwater Software (MODFLOW-96). Download latest USGS MODFLOW Programme and it's documentation. There are other groundwater software.
  3. Richard B. Winston's Home Page. Some very useful links and good resources for MODFLOW. You would also find a demo Fortran complier here.
  4. My Ph.D. Program, Analytical solutions for seepage from canals etc.
  5. University of Manitoba, Groundwater shareware database and FTP site.
  6. Canadian Groundwater Direcotry.
  7. Resources by Wen-Hsing Chiang. Mostly related to groundwater modeling.
  8. IRRISOFT - World Database on Irrigation and Hydrology Software.
  9. Waterlogging & Remote Sensing Projects, Perth.
  10. Environmental Protection Agency, USA. CSMos Models Page.
