Mathias Gronberg
Mathias Gronberg is one of Swedens most promising golfplayers. He was born
in 1970 and began playing golf at the age of 10.
1990 was the breakthrough year for Mathias. He was took part in winning the Amateur World
Championships on New Zeeland. Mathias answered for the best result among all the competitors.
Mathias became a professional after receiving the golf medal.
The next year Mathias showed great improvements when he finished 2:nd on the
Scandinavian Golf Tour's Order of Merit, behind Mats Hallberg.
The young Swede became a member of the European Tour in 1992. Mathias tied 2:nd place in his very first
European Tour tournament proofed him to be a worthy member of the distinguished tour.
In 1995 won the Canon European Master in Cran-Sur-Sierre, Switzerland. The tournament
had on of that years best tournament fields with great players from all around the world.
