Chapter 1:The BIG News
Ahhhhh!Away from school at last!!I got on the big yellow bus ,with my best friend Syl,ready to enjoy some freedom.
Our bus driver(who looks like Richard Karn)was kinda grumpy today."Don't worry about him,"Syl whispered to me,"I guess he just got out the wrong side of bed today."
My stop was the the third stop,while Syl's was the second.We lived just about 3 blocks from each other so we were always hanging out with each other.
"I'll get off at your stop today."Syl said."But I thought you had piano lessons."I replied.
"Oh Yeah!"Syl slapped her forehead."Man!I keep forgetting!"
So we got off at our regular stops.I came home,fed my dog,and was ready to do some homework.
Of course,I had Algebra,Social Studies,English Report....AHHHHH!When the heck am I going to be able to get on the computer????
So I turned on the radio and did my homework the same time.
My little brother came into my room."wacha doing Nanthy?"(He's only two)."Homework,now go play or something".
So he toddled off to his blocks and legos(Boring).Then Syl called:
"Hey Cye"
"Hey Syl"
"So,wacha doing?"
"Hey,my brother just asked me that..."
"Cool.So, have you added anything new to your scrapbook?(Syl and I each keep a scrapbook)"
"Nothing new,I didn't get to go out this weekend to get stuff,or was I able to get on the net and print something
because my dad was hogging the computer(my dad's a compu freak too, just like me).
Syl laughs,"Guess what?I got 4 new Hanson magazines!SO now I can add to my collection again!I'm so happy!"
"Yeah,yeah.whatever"
"Well you sure sound enthusiastic about it!"
"Sorry,I have bunches of homework tonight...look Syl,I gotta go okay?"
"okay,fine.See ya !"
I rushed through my ten million hours of homework and got on the net.I updated my homepage
and checked email.MAN!33 messages!Why do people keep emailing me?
So I replied to a few and left the rest just standing there(Hey,
I don't know these people,why should I care?)
Then I went to hansonline.com."Lets see if they updated anything.I wanna know if MOE is out!!!
Nope, still nothing.*sigh*Hanson needs to update their page more often!!
Very bored,I got off the computer.I was on my way to the bathroom when the phone rang.
"Hello?"
"Hi, is this Nancy ...or Cye ?"
"Yeah, "(It sounded like my other friend Rosemary)"What's up Rosemary?"
"Um, this isn't who you're talking about."
"Oh yeah?then who is this?"
"This is Hanson,Taylor Hanson.You have just won a 2 month trip to Tulsa OK to tour with us
and backstage passes and concert tickets for all your friends."
"Whatever Rosemary.I DO like Taylor Hanson but you don't have to try to fool me."
"No ,Seriously!This is Taylor Hanson.You don't belive me do you?"
I started getting a little nervous,OMIGOD,what if it Really WAS Tay?????
"Uh...........um.......I don't know what to believe.How did I win this trip?"
"You subscribed for MOE remember?And we said anyone that subscribes for MOE is eligible to
win stuff,and as you see,you're a grand prize winner!C"
OH MY GOSH!I was here talking to the actual TAYLOR HANSON,the guy that I would die for.
AND he was telling me that I was going on a tour with them and backstage passes and EVERYTHING!!!AKKKKKK!AND I HAVE TO GO TO
THE BATHROOM!
"Um, Cye,are you there?are you okay?"
I was sweating all over but I managed to choke out,"Yeah, I'm fine.It's just kinda hard to belive....."
"Calm down,it's oooookay."
I kept repeating in my mind"I'm okay,don't faint...."
"I'm fine Tay, really.So,about this trip,when and where and how and why?"
"huh?"
"Oh you know what I mean,the details."
"Oh,it's on the last day of school.We'll come and pick you up in our limo.You can bring 3 friends along with you.
And make sure you bring EARPLUGS!The concerts are loud!"
"Oh sure!Okey dokey.So, how can I contact you again?I might need to tell you something ,
like I'm sick or something......"
"No problem Cye.I'll just give you my beeper number and anytime you need me,just beep me."
"You sure you won't mind?"
"As long as it's not in the middle of the night."
*We both laugh*and Taylor gives me his beeper number.Then he said he had to go so I said Bye.
