INTERNATIONAL PHYTOCOMPUTING SOCIETY

INTRODUCTION
     The IPS is a worldwide organization of software authors, developers,
researchers, and users interested in microcomputer applications related
to the plant sciences and industries. Our members include individuals
ranging from horticulture and landscape design to plant genetics and
botanical taxonomy. 

MISSION STATEMENT
      The IPS is devoted to the study, classification, and historical
archiving of IBM PC compatible microcomputer applications relating
to the Plant Kingdom. The society will collect and distribute inform-
ation on current and historical programs and assist its members in
procuring, writing, and using these disk-based systems.

                        record on titles from over 20 specializations.
                        Literature references and source information
                        is provided.
     2. IPS Guide - Basic course in phytocomputing concepts and
                    applications.
