Heidi McKenzie's Homepage (work in progress)

Welcome! Please feel free to browse through the links and sign my guest book (at the very bottom of this page). You are my visitor.

George McKenzie II and I were recently married on May 22, 1999. Our family consists of a black and white scaredy cat, Ringo, and a seven year old (1992), off-the-track, 16.2 hh, bay Thoroughbred, Lil Rio. George, Ringo, and I live in our new brick ranch house set on one acre in Michigan (about an hour North of Detroit); while, Rio resides at a small barn with her other horse friends.

Here are links to pictures from the last two (most recent) shows Rio and I went to. In 2001, we started the summer learning how to jump and showing in crosspoles and ended the summer showing in the Pre-Primary Division at the last show where Rio won Champion. In 2002, several things conspired against me. I switched saddles 2 weeks before the show and had only been riding with my chaps on and not my boots. Needless to say, my legs were way too loose on show day when I wore my boots with the new saddle. After that show, I've been working diligently on my legs doing no stirrup work (with my riding boots on). Anyways, at the show, we jumped in the Adult Primary Division and Rio won Reserve Champion.

George works as a Civil Engineer in Consulting in Detroit, MI. I work as an Environmental Engineer in Industry in Dearborn, MI; however, lately I have been doing more project engineering at work. We both drive an hour one-way to and from work every day. I am also finishing my Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University.
