(2) Locate creator of anthrax variant, Anatole Bisseroff, in order to
bring back possible cure for contagion infecting Section One HQ.
 

Mission Anomalies: 

Munitions Facility was a trap.  A contagion was contracted by
Mowen and brought back into Section One.

Adversaries:  Red Cell, Anatole Bisseroff--bio-weapons engineer

Mission End Game:

Bisseroff was located and tricked in to giving Michael and Nikita the antibiotic cure for the anthrax variant.

 
Psychological impact:

Nikita:
 
Nikita dealt quite well with the possibility of the deaths of her colleagues, as well as her own and Michael's.  There was no discussion of escape, once they found they were not infected.  This speaks well for their ultimate loyalty to Section One.  She showed very little surprise when Michael revealed that Bisseroff had been tricked by computer technology into revealing the location of the needed antibiotic.

Michael:
 
Michael's performed at his usual level of excellence.  His idea to convince
Bisseroff that S1 had his family instead of Red Cell was excellent

Michael and Nikita's Bond:
 
These two operatives worked very well together, as usual.  It is of note that there was little of their usual personal rapport between these two operatives while on surveillance alone in Scotland.

However, there was a communication between them in Michael's office before the mission, which was not shielded by Michael's usual method.  This communication concerned the possibility of a relationship between two higher level operatives.  Michael's response was, "Just because something can be done, doesn't mean it should be."   Nikita made no response to this, but was seen to leave the office with a cryptic smile on her face.  It is possible that Michael left this communication unshielded on purpose, in order to confuse the issue of whether or not they or involved in a unsanctioned relationship.

Recommendations:
 
Continue surveillance on both operatives.  It is the feeling of this observer that there is a definite bond between Michael and Nikita.
