Mission
End Game: Salla
Vacek eliminated.
Psychological impact:
Nikita:
During the end phase of this mission, Nikita has shown a new level of maturity. Instead of screaming at Michael when he told her that Operations and Madeline wanted him to poison Elena, she simply asked him how far would he go to obtain closure. Nikita's ability to feel compassion for people, even people like Mick Schtoppell, is still intact despite all attempts to squash it.
Michael:
There is no doubt in this observer's mind that Michael is headed for some type of breakdown. During the last stages of this mission, he has shown a reluctance to follow Section's orders i.e., not poisoning his wife as ordered. It is very apparent that there is a strong bond with his wife and child.
Whether or not he can function after he loses both his wife and son remains to be seen.
Michael and Nikita's Bond:
Throughout the last phases of this mission, Nikita has been there for Michael in a way she has never been before. Although it must be extremely uncomfortable (because of the feelings she has for Michael), she can go beyond what must be torture for her and give Michael emotional support for what she knows must be a personal hell for him.
Recommendations:
As
the mission has close, a close watch on Michael's mental state should be
kept.
