In Memory of Drake

On 2 May 1998, Drake King Labiche went to the Rainbow Bridge. Drake was our rescue Boxer. He came to us from an abusive home. Renea and I worked with him for over a year. He finally came to live with us in June 1997. Most people who will view this page know his story, but to make a long, drawn out and very painful story short, Drake had an aggression problem. It seems that no matter how kind we were or how much we loved him, he still snapped and bit. For the most part, he was a sweet Boxer. But there were times that he inflicted injury to me and my wife. The thought of him doing it to anyone else, like our daughter, was frightening. It was for this reason that we put him to sleep. We are still dealing with the pain today. It was the hardest thing we have ever done. Except for this addition, the rest of Sassy and Drake's Home Page will stand as a memorial to our Drake.
