 ****Update...Well it's been a friggin HOT summer! I'm gonna be starting driving lessons soon, and then if I don't kill myself in the process I'll be getting my car. WooooooooHooooooooo!!! Wish me luck ...catch everyone later ;)




My name is Holly. Also known as Hollybrat or BratFace ...hehehe. My PARTNER IN CRIME Robin (aka Plumhead) gave me that nickname. Cool huh!! And before you ask...yes I am a brat!!

I am 21 years old and I live in Ansonia, CT. I've lived here all of my life. And to be honest with you it's a pretty boring state. Atleast the town I live in is. But the one thing that was cool about where I live is I was always treated just like any other kid growing up. Not to say that it was perfect...but I really can't complain. I went to normal public schools. My mom fought with the city to let me go to public schools. They assumed that I was stupid. Boy did they make a huge mistake!! Well anyway, they lost..LOL. Even though I missed a lot of school from 1st through 8th grade... ( due to surgeries, being sick,etc.) I did really good in school.

Then after that I went on to a technical high-school. They teach trades and regular academics. The trade I learned was Cosmetology or more commonly know as Hairdressing. I was at the top of my class and did really well. I took my Cosmetology test,to become a licensed Cosmetologist, on April of "97". And I got a 92!! Go Holly, go Holly, go Holly...LOL. I was so happy to graduate and glad to be done with school. But I must say, some of the best times I had was in high-school! Boy those were the days. Now I wish I was back there. Being an adult really isn't all it's cracked up to be.


I was born with Spina Bifida. Which is a birth defect that affects the spine. There are several different forms of SB and it affects each person differently. The Spina Bifida Association of America can give you all the technical stuff about SB . I myself have what's called Myelomeningocele and had a severe curvation of the spine. I've had soooooo many operations....I can't remeber them all!! But the major surgery I had was my Spinal Fusion. That operation they put two steel rods along my spine to hold it straight. They straightened my spine from a 128 degree curve down to 45 degrees. My doctors are so good. I have been blessed in many ways with my disability. I'm unable to walk and use a wheelchair to get around. My disability made me who I am....A strong independent woman!!!!! Ya, I could piss and moan about what a hard and crappy life I had, but it wasn't so bad. I'm happy to be who I am. Granted I would never choose to be this way, but hey....who ever has the PERFECT life?? No one I know. I think I 've done pretty good. I'm even a licensed Hairdresser...not bad huh!

I still do anything and everything I want. Always have even since I was a little kid. I'm real stubborn and I tend to get a little CRANKY when people try to tell me that I can't do something. A lot of that has to do with my mom. She never babied me or never did everything for me. She showed me how to do things my own way. And she definitely gave me a good kick in the ASS when I needed it. And I'm glad she did. Otherwise I wouldn't be who I am. She made me be strong. She taught me to speak my mind and to never say the words " I Can't". Too this day she is my best friend...and always will be!!!!
