Houdini's Secret!

In all the books written about Houdini, I am not aware that any has turned up this interesting bit of information. In 1918, every able-bodied male was required to register for the draft in World War I. Here is Houdini's registration. He called himself Harry Handcuff Houdini. His address was 278 W 113th St., NY, NY. He gave his birthday as April 6, 1874, and said he was "native born". His occupation is listed as Manager Film Factory with an address in New Jersey. His nearest relative is listed as Beatrice Houdini. He lists eyes blue and hair black. Then an amazing statement in reply to question 29 "Has person lost arm, leg, hand, eye, or is he obviously physically disqualified? (specify)" Houdini has written here: "Weak left hand". Houdini prided himself on his physical prowess, so for him to publicly state in writing that he had a weakness is truly amazing!
