Tremors is one of my favorite movies. One of the reasons I like it so much is that they actually made a great movie out of such a ridiculous storyline. I mean, come on; giant worms terrorizing a small, peaceful Nevada town in the middle of nowhere? Please. But the movie itself is great. The charachters are great (esp. the gun freaks, my personal favorites), the effects are good, and it's just a fun movie to watch. The movie takes place in the small town of Perfection, Nevada. Local "handymen" Valentine Mckee and Earl Basset have just decided to get their act together and head for the city to find some real work, when strange rumblings stop them from going anywhere. The body count of local farmers begins to mount, and they soon discover that their town is being invaded by huge underground worms. With the help of local seismology student Rhonda LeBeck, and gun maniacs Burt & Heather Gummer, the few remaining survivors of Perfection enter a race against the worms to solid rock.
