BIBLE PROPHESY

This is an ongoing work - a collecting of information from the Scriptures, regarding the Rapture of the Church, The Second Coming of Jesus, The Millenium, and other aspects of the "End Times."

Part of the purpose of the rapture, or "calling away," when Jesus comes in the clouds and we go to meet Him, is for the Church
to be removed from all distress (2 COR. 5:2-4 PHIL 3:21) from all persecution and oppression, and from the entire realm of sin
and from death (1 COR. 15:51-56) Christ delivers the Church from the wrath to come. Note that it is not OUR wish to escape anything, but God's wish.

The second coming of the Lord will come in 2 stages. Once to meet the Church in the air and bring them to "ever be with the Lord," and the second time when He actually touches down and plants His Foot on the Mt. of olives. (That is when He comes to destroy the ungodly and to reign on earth.)

Only the faithful will be involved in the rapture. Professing Christians who do not have a saving relationship with Jesus Christ will not be raptures, and will be subject to God's wrath.

Note that the church (bornagain, believers in Jesus, who have repented of their sins) is never mentioned in the OT or NT when the Great Tribulation is discussed.

Note that the church (bornagain, believers in Jesus, who have repented of their sins) is never mentioned in the OT or NT when the Great Tribulation is discussed.
The Great Tribulation begins long before 7th Trumpet of Rev 11 ... No groundword provided for 7th the Trumpet of Rev - is last trumpet of 1 Cor 15.
Pre tribulation Rapture maintains a proper distinction between prophetic trumpets of the Church and trumpets of the Great Tribulation.

The unity of Daniel's 70th week is maintained by the Pre Tribulation Rapture.
A Mid Tribulation Rapture confuses Isaiah and the Church.

Matt 24 is an excellent chapter. Flee to mountains, a greater trib never seen before, speaks to Israel, whose only raptured are those who have recognized and accepted the Messiah/Jesus.

Matthew 24:36-51 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?

Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

God shut the door of the ark when Noah and his family were saved from the destruction of the flood, and notice He shuts the door to the marriage room. Matt 25 The parable of the virgins, which tells us to watch.
25:10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

Matt 25:31-46 There are both saved and lost in natural bodies at the 2nd coming, the touching down to earth after the Great Tribulation.

Luke 12:26 If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?
Luke 21:36 watch, pray, escape Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
Luke 12: 37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.

John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. Acts 1:10-12 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day's journey.

Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
1 Cor 15: 51-54 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
AMEN

Great Tribulation properly understood as preparation for the restoration of Israel.
Dan 12:1,2 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

Jer 30:4-11 And these are the words that the LORD spake concerning Israel and concerning Judah. For thus saith the LORD; We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace. Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?

Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble, but he shall be saved out of it. For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him: But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them. Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid. For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet I will not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.

Phil 4:5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

In the following Scripture, Paul uses the word "we" because he knows the Lord's return could have happened in his own lifetime, and he communicates this same anticipation to the Thessalonians. The Bible insists on a continual waiting with eagerness for the return of our Lord. Believers today must be ever watchful and hopeful for Christ's return. ( 1 COR. 15:51-52 Phil. 4:5)

Thess 4: 13-18 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Revelation Chapter 3
And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.
Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. (Rev 3:10 Promise not to be in Trib, keep from trials to come on whole world)

Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Rev 7 The 144,000 of the tribes of Israel sealed. 12,000 from each of 12 tribes - Judah, Reuben, Gad, Asher, Nephthalim, Manaseas, Simeon, Levi, Issachar, Zabulon, Joseph, Benjamin.

Rev 22:17-20 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

Ressurection - Translation Day (mortality will be swallowed up of life)
1 Cor 15:54 death swallowed up in victory...
Either mortality will be swallowed up by being translated, (those still alive at the Rapture) or death will be swallowed up by being resurrected (from the grave).

Phillipians 1:20-24 Paul speaks about his "earnest expectation" Romans 8:19 v 23 says "... we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body." Paul's earnest expectation and hope was for the time his body would be redeemed. HE did not say one word in Phil 1:20-24 about the TIME he would be with the Lord. Some try to interpret Paul wanted to be with the Lord, but the word "immediately" is not in the scripture. Paul does not state WHEN he will be with the Lord. He only states his "earnest expectation." Other scriptures show his his expectation centered on the resurrection or the translation of the body.

Other passages state when the great apostle expected to be with Christ:
Rom 8:23 At the redemption of the body
1 Cor 5:5 In the day of the Lord Jesus
1 Cor 15:51-55 At the last trump
Col 3:4 When Christ our life shall appear
1 Thes 4:16 When the Lord descends with a shout
2 Thes 2:1 At the coming of the Lord
2 Tim 4:7,8 At "that day" (by which Paul means the second advent of Christ.

1 Thess 4:16,17 States SO "in this way" "by this means" we go to be with the Lord. Paul precludes ANY OTHER WAY TO BE WITH THE LORD. He spoke of ONLY TWO WAYS to be with the Lord, translation or resurrection.

Paul's overwhelming desire is that he would be translated without passing through the unclothed state of death.

Col 3:4 WHEN will we be with the Lord.
"..when Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory."
1 John 3:2 "But we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is."
Paul is saying that none have "seen him as he is," that it will happen at the Rapture "when he shall appear."

Paul did not expect to be with Christ until the resurrection, if he was not translated...
2 Tim 4:6-8 "For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: HENCEFORTH there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me AT THAT DAY: and not to me only, but unto all those that love his appearing."

Paul emphasizes that his reward will be given at the coming of Christ. Even though his departure was "at hand," he did not expect to be with Christ immediately. He expected it "henceforth." The crown of immortality was "laid up for me," Paul said. He would receive it "on that day" with others who would "love his appearing."

THOSE OF US WHO ARE "LOVING CHRIST'S APPEARING,"
WILL ALSO RECEIVE THE CROWN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS.
