Below you will find pictures of some of the cakes I have made. These are only a few of them. I love to bake. You will seldom find a loaf of store bought bread in my home. And any sweets you may find are always homemade. But, then there are the cakes....I get great pleasure out of making cakes. My cakes are all made with 100% natural ingredients including real butter, vanilla, cocoa and cream (ooops, with the exception of the colourings, excluding browns which are pure cocoa). Making for one sinfully rich, moist cake.
This cake was made for a friends parents 50th anniversary. The cake itself is a mixture of two types of chocolate, a swiss mocha and a layer of a devil's food. The icing is a layer of chocolate, decorated with carnations made from my own rich coffee/chocolate icing and some peach coloured carnations also.(for some strange reason they look yellow in this pic)
This cake was made for a birthday party for a young girl. It was a double fudge chocolate cake, with plain white icing. The decorations on it are all hand made from a type of royal frosting. And yes, that little bear holding the balloons does have a belly button! And even little claws on his paws.
This special cake was made for a friend. It is his company logo. All hand made, every inch of it. I don't know how many times I did this cake until I was satisified with how it looked.
This was my best friend, (and partner in crime all my life, hehe) Karen's birthday cake last year. The cake was swiss mocha double layer. The entire base icing is my coffee/chocolate cream icing. The decorations (butterlies) are all hand made by me with pure chocolate. This cake is definately a cake that needs to be refrigerated...Way too much butter and chocolate..
This cake was for my nephew Sam. He loves his golf. The cake itself was a double layer of chocolate fudge and devils food. It is amazing how many people love chocolate. The icing is my own recipe (as are all) of plain white icing made rich by butter and pure cream. OK, so I cheated a bit, I did not make the little man and such...hehhehe
This cake was a rich french vanilla double layer cake. Topped again with my own recipe for rich plain white icing. Covered with well over 100 small flowers made from a special royal icing recipe. This cake was made simply because we wanted dessert! No other reason..
