This paper is a fulfillment of one of the requirements of CM614 Teaching Basic Computing, which is a graduate course offered by the Communication & Media Department and taught by Dr. J. Ruttner at IUP.

This hypertext paper reports a study that reviews Studies in Second Language Acquisition (SSLA), a journal specialized in Second Language Acquisition research. The reviewer, Khalid Abalhassan, is a Ph.D. student in the Rhetoric and Linguistics Program at IUP.

Two aspects of SSLA are considered: the editorial or organizational aspect and the theoretical aspect. It assumes that looking deeply into academic journals leads researchers to gain more knowledge of the growth line of theories and the whole field in general. It also broadens the scope of the researcher by showing the different researchable topics that have been investigated in the history of the publication.

I hope you will enjoy and benefit from reading the following pages. I would be glad to hear from you about this hypertext paper in terms of the format as well as the content. You can use the button above to send me a message. Thank you.
