To Will

Time never seems to really pass with you,
and you will never really age to me,
I will keep the sound of you calling me,
memorize how your voice lilts
when you say I love you.

I love,
the way your lips find my tears,
the way your mouth finds my pain,
the way you find me in the dark
sometimes.

I try to write you,
immortalize you in soft edged poetry.
But the curve of your jaw
doesn't lend itself to sweetly spoken word,
quiet meter cannot
justify your eyes.
