Iota Tau's Girl of the Year
Iota Tau celebrated their Founder's Day on April 29, 2000. At this celebration it was announced that Alyse Carter Essig was
the Girl of the Year for the 1999-2000 year.
Alyse is one of the founding members of Iota Tau.
She has served Iota Tau in many ways:
President
Vice-President
Treasurer
Service Chair
Ways-n-MeansChair
Co-Chairman of the 2002 Virginia State Convention in Richmond
As you can see, Alyse is an extremely hard worker.
Alyse truly embodies what it means to be a Beta Sigma Phi. She is always
ready to help out others and to spread the gift of Beta Sigma Phi to
women around her. Alyse is ever-willing to open her home for chapter events
and makes us all feel right at home. She is not only beautiful on the inside but
she is one of the most beautiful people that we know on the outside.
I know that I speak for the chapter as a whole by saying that Iota Tau would
not be the special "home" for us that it is without Alyse's driving force.
She is the glue that binds us all together in sisterhood.
As Alyse's best friend and last year's Girl of the Year, I was honored to be
able to relinquish my title to Alyse. No one is more deserving of the title
of Girl of the Year than she. I am proud to call her my sister and friend.
