If I could take away your heartbreak;
Hug away your hurt.
I'd replace them with a lullaby
From deep within my heart!

If I could wish away your pain;
Turn the darkness into light.
I promise I would soar with you,
To the heavens; through the night!

If I could kiss away each cancer cell,
Throw it deep within the sea;
We could sing and laugh once more;
Greet each day, burden free!

If I could do all this; my son ~
Move the heavens and the earth;
I'd turn back time, till once again,
I'm witnessing your birth!

If only I could do all this
I'd do it right away
But as it is, I have to trust
That God will hear my prayer today!
