Christmas Cranberry Nut Bread

1/4 lb. butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup warm milk
1 tbsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 cup coarsely chopped cranberries
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Cream butter and sugar, add egg. Mix well, then slowly add milk and vanilla.
Sift flour, salt, soda and baking powder together and add to first mixture. Then fold
in chopped cranberries and nuts.
Bake in a greased and floured loaf pan for 1 hour at 350*F.
