1/2 cup icing sugar
Sift dry ingredients together in large bowl.
1/2 cup corn starch
1 cup sifted flour
3/4 cup butter or margarine
Blend in butter with spoon. Mix until soft. Pat out on lightly floured board and
cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake in 300*F oven for 20 - 25 minutes or until edges turn lightly brown.
Note: Shortbread is very light in colour. Pale, never brown.
