Holly Wreaths

1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/4 tsp. green food colouring
4 cups corn flakes cereal
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/4 cup granulated sugar
tiny red cinnamon candies

Line baking sheets with waxed paper before you start.
In medium saucepan, mix butter, corn syrup, food colouring and sugar.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves and
mixture boils. Boil for 4 minutes, stirring often. Remove from heat and
add corn flakes. Fold together until well coated.
Using greased spoon, drop by rounded tablespoons onto waxed paper
lined cookie sheets. Shape into wreaths about 2 inches in diameter. Rinse
hands with cold water if mixture is hot to handle. Decorate with red candies
for berries while wreaths are still sticky.
Makes about 18 wreaths.
