The 17th hole at Black Valley

Black Valley G.C.
This is RGD's second fictional design. Black Valley Golf Club is located in Northwest Michigan, just outside the Lake Michigan port town of Frankfurt. The Club sits atop bluffs that look down over Crystal Lake (and on a clear day, Lake Michigan can be seen in the distance). Black Valley Golf Club was primarily influenced by the design philosophies of Dr. Alister MacKenzie and A.W. Tillinghast. The two courses that provided the principal inspiration for the holes at Black Valley are MacKenzie’s Crystal Downs (located in Northwest Michigan) and Tillinghast’s Bethpage Black Course (on Long Island). The design is of a strategic, risk/reward nature. Please see below for screenshots of some of the holes at BVGC and links to download the course.
