Up in the announcers' booth, the young one was searching through the papers,
looking for the match-up list.  Down below, Ken and Atahua were getting
increasingly bored, they can't fight until the match is properly started, and that
can't happen till the people in the booth 'get their crap together' according to
Ken's thoughts.

Katt was still sitting in her dressing room.  She was becoming increasingly
convinced that somebody didn't want her to win this tournament.  She studied the
match-up list again, and noticed that the rest of her bouts aren't until tomorrow,
with Ken's match-up against her being dead-last.  With a "HMPH", she threw the
schedule down and started walking down toward the arena, hoping she could find
where Ryu was sitting (and maybe make sure he isn't doing any more of that kissy
stuff with Nina).

She decided that bringing other worries into her mind would only upset her so
called ki or whatever it was Ken mentioned awhile back, so she put THOSE TWO people
out of her mind and started humming.  As she rounded a corner, she saw a guy in a
pink outfit talking to her 'favorite' guard. 

The guard looked slighty angry, but then again, Katt never saw him not angry, so
nothing new was there.  Pinky was evidently trying to wrangle info from the guy,
and from what Katt could hear, it was about her.  Since neither of the guys noticed
her, she slipped back around the corner and decided to eavesdrop.

"But, you don't get it.  I'm THE Dan Hibiki!  You comprehend?  Get it? THE Dan
Hibiki!"  Pinky exclaimed, "Now where can I find this Cat or whatever?"  The guard
sighed and answered, "For the upteenth time, I don't know!  I just got done putting
up with this Katt person pestering me all morning, and now YOU are bothering me
during my break.  I don't know where she is, nor do I care.  Why don't you ask
elsewhere, eh?"
  
Pinky, er, Dan evidently couldn't take a hint if it reared up and whacked him one,
as he contined to push the guard to the breaking point. "Look, PLLLLEEEEAAAASSSE??"
Dan pleaded.  The guard's answer of screaming NO at the top of his lungs finally
drove Dan off.

Katt decided that this Dan Hibiki would more than easy pickings, so she didn't
bother to catch up with him and introduce herself.  He seemed rather rude anyway.

Back in the booth, the quest for the schedule was completed.  

"Ladies and Gentlemen!  Presenting the first battle!" As the announcemnt came,
spotlights fell on Atahua and Ken.  Ken's mind finally asked the question of just
how this place got all this modern equipment in this backwards.. place.  'NO
PROBLEM, come to it later, gotta fight!', his ego answered.  The mind shut up.
