Here I have put together what I think are useful hints and tips for starting your family tree, I have been as basic and plain as I can be in everything I have done here, I have added tips what I personally use in doing my family tree but also have added useful thing that I have come across in books and help I have recieved from fellow Genealogists.

Storing your Documents
Here a some item that I think will come in useful when organising and filing documents and information for your family tree. The document you collect whilst searching your family tree are precious and they do cost money, so filing your documents properly can save a lot of heartache if lost or damaged.


About your Documents
Here it will find tips on what to do with the information you have found on a selected certificate, be it Birth Marraige or Death. When you are going through you findings and can't quite put your finger on what to do with the information.

I have put together some useful Address for places throughout the UK for Archive containing documentation of your family's past, its always safer to write or phone ahead before setting off to what could be a wasted journey.
