~ CHICKEN CURRY PUFFS ~

Ingredients :~
Pastry ~
200g plain flour
A pinch of salt
100g margarine
Cold water for mixing

Filling ~
100g chicken breast, diced
2 pottoes,parboiled and cubed
1 large onion, chopped
1 tablespoon curry paste
Salt
Oil for frying
1 egg, beaten(for glazing)

Method:~
Filling ~
Heat the oil and fry the chopped onions till soft and translucent. Add the curry paste and fry till fragrant.

Combine the chicken,potatoes and seasonig. Over a low heat,cook till the curry is fairly dry. Remove from heat and leave to cool.

Pastry ~
Sift flour and salt into a mixing bowl. Cut up margarine into small pieces nd add to the flour. Rub margarine with the flour until the fat and flour mixture resemble breadcrumbs.

Add cold water and knead till the dough is stiff but malleable. Rest pastry in a cool place for at least 1/2 an hour before rolling it out.

Dust worktop with a little flour and roll out pastry and cut into rounds using a pastry cutter. Place a little filling on each pastry. Fold into semi -circle and wet the edges to seal. Pinch the edges into "waves." Glaze with the beaten egg and bake in the oven (approximately 200 celcius) for about 20 miutes.
