Jean-Pierre De Wilde was born in Belgium, then lived in Argentina. After graduating from university he moved to the US, first to New Jersey, later to New York and finally to Texas.

Mr. De Wilde is a photographer who particularly enjoys taking portraits. Taking rather than making portraits, trying to capture femininity in its spontaneous manifestation during ordinary and daily activities. No studio, no wind machines, nothing artificial, virtually eliminating posing. This allows capturing the “ideal moment”. The result is, in the case of portraits, photos showing women as women rather than as models.

In addition to portraits, he will capture a variety of subjects such as nature shots, some of which were taken on the Atlantic coast of the Argentine Patagonia during a trip through that desert, Medieval buildings in the south of France, etc..

Mr. De Wilde has traveled extensively and this has been the source of unique photographs, some of which are on display.

Currently some of his art work is on exhibit, at Saradoea's Coffeehouse & Emporium in Round Rock, in Williamson County, Texas.
