First of all we’d like to say, “awwwwww!” This album is full of cute, well written songs. 6 out of the 9 songs are Hanson originals. At the ages of 8, 10, and 13, these brothers show amazing talent in their excellent harmonies. As on each of their other albums they show a wide variety of song types. From the heart melting slow ballad, “More Than Anything,” to the high, fast driven Jackson 5 hit, “The Love You Save,” it catches anyone’s taste. It also appeals to the Christian fans with, “Lonely Boy” which we perceive as a Christian song. (HANSON: If you’re reading this PLEASE email us and tell us if we’re right!) It’s amazing that kids so young had (have) such talent in singing and songwriting.

MMMBop: Recorded on an independent label in 1995.
Again we want to say, awwww! This is the first album in which Hanson played instruments. All 15 sings are Hanson originals including 3 songs, MMMBop, Thinking of You, and a slightly different version of With You In Your Dreams, that later appeared on Middle of Nowhere. Again their talent is evident, amazing many people, including president of A&R at Mercury Records, Steve Greenberg who discovered Hanson. Again there’s a wide variety of song topics and tunes. “Soldier” is a cute, “story of a one legged soldier and a ballerian with a heart if gold,” that are, “too shy to speak of love.” They go through an adevnture before their bases are, “melted together in one in the same.” So they are, “no longer lonely.” “Pictures” on the other hand is a faster song about an obsession that cannot be escaped and it goes to the point of obsession that cannot be escaped and the singer see pictures of that person evrywhere.
