24 July, 1985 to 27 November, 1996

This page is dedicated to a trusted friend who gave us his love and respect.

Ninja was our first dog, we picked the Akita Breed because of it's stoic image. I saw my first Akita in Las Vegas, NV at my uncle Bill's, in 1983. He found his Akita as a pup wandering the street's. Ace was an impressive dog, who at first sight gave the persona of self-assurance and dignity.

Two days before the death of Ninja my uncle Bill, lost Ace. Ace also died quickly without the hint of sickness. Bill, now is the owner of Jikasei's Bugsy Siegel, one of our pups. Not all stories have a sad ending. Bill and his wife Nora, have a female from Miko's first litter. JAY-JAY, and Bugsy get along fabulously.

Once I saw this breed I feel in love with it. Our first dog who was named a year before he was purchased, was found at the House of Treasure Akitas. Linda and I fell in love with this 5 1/2 week old pup the moment we saw him chewing rocks and standing up to the grown Akita males who were barking at him.

Ninja, loved the 3 cats. Many times Ninja use to walk around the house with one or two of our cat's clinging to his neck.

During the building of our house in Jersey City he slept in the car with us. Once the frame was up he slept in the house during the construction of the home that Linda and I built.

His mate Murasaki was also purchased at HOT's, a year later. Her gentle and quite spirit gave our Akita home a balance which was admired by any visitor to our house.

Ninja was a very important part of our life, as we were a very important part of his. During his short time with us, we shared many adventures. I got involved in Dog Training because of him. I wanted to have him trained, but could not find anyone in my area whose methods I trusted. Soon after I became a Certified Master Trainer.

Ninja died not in long suffering, but quickly. The day of his death he played with the rest of our Akita family, using the various agility articles in our yard. That night he left us. By some strange coincidence we were watching a "Taxi" episode on TV, where Alex's dog died. Ninja left us soon after that.

Although not present with us here on earth, he will always be in our hearts and the hearts of those who knew him.
