Shattered and broken
I have fallen, time and again
Hungry, weak and tired,
Steeped in lies and sin.
Shame has come to taunt me
With the things that I have done,
It tries to keep me in darkness,
Though my life be in the Son.
Oh how I long to be free,
To live holy in Your sight
My feet firmly on the Rock
Walking in the light.
Jesus come hold me,
Draw me into You
Take this heart of stone,
Give me one that’s true.
Open my wounds and heal me
Go as deep as You must go,
For springs of living water
From me shall surely flow.
Your love it has consumed me
I am forever changed
Though I fall a hundred times,
Your love remains the same.
Guide me Holy Spirit
Till none of me remains
As I sing songs of deliverance
In Jesus mighty name.
I shall ever praise You
For the work You’ve done in me
Giving You all the glory
Your truth has set me free.
