About Us
Jones County is bordered by Onslow, Craven, Lenoir, and Carteret Counties. We are a rural agricultural county with approximately 10,000 residents. Recreational opportunities include hunting, fishing, baseball, basketball, soccer, and football. The Atlantic Ocean is within driving distance making surfing, skiing, and deep sea fishing among the numerous summer activities available. Jones County has four elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. All are accredited by both the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the state of North Carolina.
