Sumbit your site

This is a relatively simple and painless process. Applicants must first have read and accepted our Guidelines, then just follow the instructions here:-

  1. Read and accept our Guidelines if you have not already done so.
  2. Complete the application form and submit it to Gum Tree Genealogy Ring for consideration.
  3. Place the Gum Tree Genealogy Ring logo and code on your site. The relevant code is automatically mailed to you upon confirmation of you submission. Simply cut and paste the ring code fragment onto the appropriate page at your site. This must be done within 14 days of application. Please note that at this point in your application, you are NOT yet a listed Member of the Ring.
  4. Notify the Ringmaster of your site's readiness for inspection. The Ringmaster will then visit and verify your site and add you to the Ring, provided your site meets our criteria. You will be notified by e-mail of your addition to the ring.
  5. Enjoy - and Happy Hunting!!

The Ring Logo

The Logo and associated code should be displayed in the format provided by our automatic reply-mail when you sign up. Please Do Not alter the design or shape of the ring code. You do not need to copy or save the Gum Tree Genealogy Ring Logo to your own hard drive, as it is accessed from our site. Cut and past the code from the confirmation email you recieve onto your page and notify the Ringmaster when it is ready for inspection - remember, this has to be done within 14 days of application. The automatic email you receive from us will contain the code you need already customised with your membership number in it. This email will contain both a Frames and a Non-Frames version of the code, just cut and paste it to your page from the email you receive. If you have any problems, contact me immediately.

When the code is added to your page, the display should look like this:-
