Jim and Bonnie Givens have been involved in field trial dogs for many years.  Jim's experience with field dogs goes back to the 1950s, when he started with Brittany's.  Jim has trained a dog to a WCA National Amateur Championship, and has trained and handled many other dogs to their field championships, including Brittanys and GSPs as well as Weims.

Bonnie has been dedicated to breeding the best field dogs possible since the early 1970s, including multiple field champions and a WCA National Derby winner, and a runner-up as well. This combination of expertise has proved extremely successful on the field trial circuit.

Bonnie has also handled obedience and show dogs, as well as helped others with their dogs.  Both Jim and Bonnie are AKC Field Trial and hunt test judges.

When they are not working with their dogs, they also breed and raise Peruvian Paso horses.

Currently, Jim and Bonnie are owners of eight dogs, nine horses, and two cats.
