The cover will protect your dish against the ice and snow witch accumulates
on your dish during the cold winter months.
Stop the freeze frames that happens when ever it snows and it builds
up on your digital satellite dish. This could also
happen during ice and freezing rain storms. The adverse elements
will not stick to the new environmental material used in the
manufacture of the dish covers. The cover will protect the electronics
on the end of the feed horn such as the LNB and
the wire connectors. The cover will protect your satellite dish from
small children, small and larger animals that may be
in your neighborhood. The satellite dish cover will prevent vandals
from stealing the electronic parts on the dish arm.
Satcover is the original satellite cover manufacture. Satcover started
custom designing covers in 1983 for satellites located
in the mountains of arizona where the snow accumulates to as high as10
to 12ft. This would cause poor reception and in
some cases the lost of the signal all together. In 1994 the digital
18in. dish system came on the market and the snow and
ice problem was even worst. So satcover designed a cover for the small
digital satellite systems to help to prevent the ice
and snow from building up on the surface of the dish. Satcover tried
different materials over the past few years and has found
one that would not be damaged by the uv rays of the sun. This material
is used in the manufacturing of covers for awnings
and boats that are located in areas where the saltwater causes damage.
