Italian, German, Irish, Scottish & French Immigrant Ship Passenger Lists

Note: Don't overlook the smaller ships, that might be where your brickwall is hiding. Merchant ships sometimes took a few passengers, maybe one was your ancestor.

Enter Surname, or a varied spelling of the name, to search the ships below. Keep in mind that spelling errors and phonetic spellings by clerks were common when passengers arrived. New ships may not be in the search engine yet.:

There are also researchers who offer Lookups in case you cannot find them online.

I can offer lookups for a $5 donation per surname, no refund if not found because that just covers the cost of gas to and from the Library with the cost of gas now. If it is found, it's also covering copy costs and postage. Send the names, and any children you think were with them, to:

NOTE:I do not have further information on these ships or their passengers. Take the arrival date and go to the county that your ancestors settled in and ask where they keep their Naturalization records or contact the State Archives where they settled, National Archives and Records Administration and also read their page on Immigration Records.

I hope to transcribe more ship lists in the near future so check back often.

Keep in mind that not all of the thousands of ships that arrived are included in the books.
