On January 11, 1999, about 14:30 local, a Pan American 727-200 ferry flight 2050, register number N535PA was attempting a takeoff at Denver Intenational Airport, runway 07, enroute to Los Angeles. Upon rotation, the number 3 engine lost all power. The crew of 4 continued on their initial climb. According to the pilot in command, fire handles were pulled as a precaution, but no fire was reported. The 727 leveled at 8,000 feet and performed a normal procedure pattern back to runway 07. A flight plan had been filed for the flight conducted under 14 CFR Part 91. The aircraft landed safely back at Denver. The plane was evacuated and none of the 4 crew members onboard were injured.
Probable Cause
-Inadequate inspection of the engine wiring
