Albert farmed the family farm near Burnside, southwest of Independence, Wisconsin. He retired to Independence and lived on Washington Street after his son Ephriam took over the homestead. According to descendant Harvey Killian of Scobel, Montana in May 1995, Albert was born on the family farm in Burnside, southwest of Independence. He took over the family farm when his parents died. Albert and Gertrude moved to Independence where Albert worked for the Trempealeau County Highway Department until he died of cancer.

According to Harvey Killian of Scobel, Montana in May 1995, Julia died at home at the age of 33, in the town of Burnside on Thursday, February 25, 1920. She had a short illness of influenza followed by pneumonia.

Obituary - incomplete in order to protect privacy of living family members

Eugene A. Killian, 73, of Arcadia, died Saturday, June 7, 1997 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse. 
He was born September 7, 1923 in the town of Burnside to Albert and Gertrude (Gandyra) Killian. On October 1, 1947 he married Ethelyn Hohmann at the Rectory of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Arcadia. Ethelyn died on June 7, 1988. 
Eugene owned and operated Killian Funeral Home in Arcadia from 1952 until 1992. He also owned Killian Furniture Store with his brothers, John and Martin Welmer from 1958 to 1976. Eugene served in the U.S. Army in WWII and had been Mayor of Arcadia for several years. Eugene accomplished many things in his life. 
Eugene was preceded in death by his wife and two sisters, Arlene Kulig and Theresa 'Tracy' Betthauser.

Raymond P. Lisowski, 86, of Independence died Thursday, April 15, 2004, at Tri-County Memorial Hospital, Whitehall, Wis. He was born Feb. 23, 1918, to Paul and Gertrude (Sonsalla) Lisowski in Traverse Valley, Buffalo County, Wis. He married Marian Killian on Nov. 13, 1948, at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Independence, Wis.
Ray worked for A. A. Electric Co. for 30 years. He started out as a Cat operator in Mondovi, then worked as a lineman in Cornell and promoted to foreman in Dallas, Wis. Ray was general foreman in the Chicago suburbs when he ended his career in electric construction. He retired in 1984. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed gardening and was well known for his woodworking.
Ray was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, I.B.E.W. Local 9, Moose Lodge and Elk Rod & Gun Club.
Ray was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Lisowski; grandchildren, Kris Hainey, Daniel and David Smith; and a brother-in-law, Andy Baecker.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 19, at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Independence, with the Rev. Thomas McInnis officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday where there will be a 7:30 p.m. prayer service and rosary and 8 to 10 a.m. Monday, all at Edison Funeral Home, Independence.
