3-Obituary: Margaret Lisowski
Margaret V. Lisowski, 64, of Arcadia, died Friday, Sept. 23 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Arcadia. She was born Aug. 1, 1924, in Buffalo County to Elmer and Maude Hoffman Zeller. She married Edward J. Lisowski on July 2, 1946, In Arcadia. He died June 10, 1982. She was a housewife. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and its St. Ann's Society. Survivors include six sons, Daniel Zeller of Wausau, Robert Lisowski of Whitehall, and James, Michael, Thomas and John Lisowski, all of Arcadia; seven daughters, Dianna Pronschinske of Winona, Mrs. Richard (Mary) Bautch and Mrs. Roland (Jane) Thomas of Arcadia, Ann Molid of Galesville, Cathy Lisowski of Arcadia, Mrs. Kurt (Jackie) Wiersgalla of Independence, and Beverly Lisowski of Arcadia; her mother, Maude Zeller of Whitehall; 19 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. One brother has died. Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, the Rev. Lawrence Dunklee officiating. Burial was In the Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers were Gary Berg, LeeRoy Fernholz, Rich McMillian, Greg Pronschinske, Gary Molid and Charles Christopherson.
Killian Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.

Vernon Christ Fernholz was born to Albert Fernholz and Catherine Eckl on the 18 of Sept. in 1911 in Glencoe, Buffalo Co., Wis. He is one of 5 brothers and sisters of his parents. He also has 12 half brothers and sisters. Irene was born in Canada on the 20th of Oct. in 1914 to August Lisowski and Frances Pyka. She is one of 5 children. Vernon and Irene were married on April 28 in 1941 at St. Michael church, North Creek, Wis. First they lived on a farm at Pine Creek for a year. And their first son LeRoy was born while they lived there, on March 22 in 1942. Next they moved to a farm in Dodge for 2 years. Vernon Jr. was born on the 11th of Aug. in 1943. Then they moved to a farm in Glencoe. At first they rented it, then in 1952 they bought it. They had 3 children here; Mary Jane, who was born on the 11 of Sept. in 1950, and a set of twins Karen and Karl on the 22nd of Mar. in 1952. Vernon Jr. married Ira Nelson on the 12th of Dec. in 1964. 2 children were married in 1968. First Mary Jane married Jess Veraguth on the 8th off June in 1965. And then LeRoy married Sharon Sonsalla on the 27 of July in 1968. Karen married Lonnie Solberg on the 31 of Oct. in 1970. In August of 1972 Vernon and Irene sold their farm to their son LeRoy. And Vernon and Irene moved into Arcadia. Their child Karl was married on the 16th of June in 1973 to Brenda Sveen. Vernon passed away on the 25th of Aug. in 1975 in La Crosse, Wis. Irene keeps herself busy with her genealogy and her family.

Obituary of Marian M. Swartling, Trempealeau, Wis. 
Marian-M. Swartling, 65, of Route 1, Trempealeau, died Monday (Dec. 17, 1990) at her home. She was born June 23, 1925, in Arcadia, Wis., to August and Francis Pyka Lisowski. She married Harry J. Swartling Sept. 1, 1958, in North Creek, Wis. She was a member of St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church in Trempealeau and its Alter Society. Survivors include her husband and only child, Jeanann McMiIIen of Trempealeau; a foster daughter, Marie Bettesworth of Arcadia, a foster son, Jay Greengrass of Trempealeau; two grandchildren, Kristy and KyIe McMillen; three foster grandchildren, Joey Swartling, Danielle and Nicolas Bettesworth; and a sister, Irene Fernholz of Arcadia. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward, Emil and Frank Lisowski. Funeral services will be at 11a.m. Thursday at St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church in Trempealeau, the Rev. Robert Wagner officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery of Trempealeau. Friends may call at the Smith Mortuary in Galesville, Wis., on Wednesday from 7-9p.m. with a rosary at 8p.m. Arcadia Leader.
