Martin Sanford Sigsworth, child of William Henry Sigsworth and Phoebe Jane Whaley, born Feb. 28, 1865, in Frontenac District, Ontario Canada, died Sept. 15, 1952, at Amery, Polk Co., Wisconsin. Martin married first Hannah Salome McPherson on Dec. 25, 1886, in Loughborough, Frontenac District, Ontario Canada, d/o Alexander and Harriet McPherson. Hannah was born in Portland Twp., Frontenac District, Ontario Canada in 1865, and she died in the USA some time before the 1900 Federal Census. Martin married second on Feb. 28, 1900, at Clear Lake, Polk Co., Wisconsin to Christine E. Johnson (she born Jan. 13, 1883, at Frontenac, Goodhue Co., Minnesota, died at Amery on June 2, 1964). 1-William Lewis Sigsworth, born June 2, 1890, in New York, died June 1967 at St. Paul, Ramsey Co., Minnesota. In 1900 he was living at Clear Lake Twp., Polk Co., Wisconsin (Genealogy.com Page 101a, Household #165) with his grandparents, William Henry Sigsworth and Phoebe Jane Whaley. William married some time after the 1910 Federal Census was taken and had three children; Frank, Irene, and Lloyd.

2-Jeanette Sigsworth, born July 1891 in New York, died March 30, 1936, in Everett, Snohomish Co., Washington. In 1900 she was living at Clear Lake Twp., Polk Co., Wisconsin (Genealogy.com Page 101a, Household #165) with her grandparents, William Henry Sigsworth and Phoebe Jane Whaley. Jeanette married Edward Morris.

3-Samuel Sigsworth, born July 1891 in New York, died in infancy and is mentioned in his father's obituary.

7-Fred Sigsworth, born Aug. 30, 1906, at Webb Lake, Polk Co., Wisconsin, died April 5, 1988, at Amery, Polk Co., Wisconsin. Fred married Rose Marie Karpenski (she born July 31, 1905, died Oct. 6, 1977, at New Richmond, St. Croix Co., Wisconsin).

I have a notation from Delores Marquand (Edward's niece) that Edward married first to Waunita, then to Regina J., and after Regina's death in 1969, he remarried Waunita.
