History of Crawford County, Ohio --- Horizons '76, Bicentennial Edition, edited by James E. McJunken --- Our immediate Warden ancestors lived primarily in North Robinson, Jefferson Township, Crawford County, Ohio.

Page 402 --- The Ohio and Indianna Railroad stretched across Ohio, first to Crestline in Crawford County, and then extending to Bucyrus. At the midway point where the railroad crossed the Whetstone and Jefferson Township boundary line began the village of North Robinson.

Page 403 --- The steam sawmill was open and the village was to get another industry. The Warden and Tracht Steam Tile Factory opened its doors. The facility was established by Sickman, Fate and Company of Crestline.
